Eclipse

The Nautilus is a thick pen, and it requires attention and a dedicated grip. The addition of gold accents such as the serpent pen clip pair well with the resin's marbling. I was lucky to get a preferred richer tone of dark green swirls. It's light, but prominent. It does not post, but has enough length to easily control.

I chose a Double Broad nib knowing that this pen would be used for more dramatic writing. I had some difficulty (skipping & railroading) with thicker shimmering inks, even with the BB nib, but it flowed very wet with non-shimmering inks. The piston filler allows for a significant amount of ink to be stored; it can write for several pages without interruption.

Nib replacement is easy. I tried it with a fine nib for daily journaling. However, since this is a special Limited Edition pen, I do prefer to go bold with this one. May try a Stub one of these days...

This is my fifth Nahvalur and as always great design, awesome value and smooth writing. Keep up the great work!

Pictures really don't do this pen justice. While browsing through thousands of pens at Toronto Scriptus 2025, this pen really stood out and caught my eye. At first glance, the beautiful variegated green and gold pen body are certainly attractive. But it's the wonderful small details that truly make this pen shine. Upon closer inspection of the pen, the first thing that stands out is the interesting gold snake clip, with its tiny green eyes. The intricate design on the gold cap band is a nice touch as well. The ink window gives an interesting submarine vibe as the user watches the ink sloshing around inside and the gold coloured steel nib has a fascinating design of a narwal. The top of the cap displays a gold plate, where the serial number is engraved (mine is 652). When held up to the light, the pen has some translucency and the ink inside can barely be seen as the green and gold glitter from the outside. The pen is also boxed and packaged very attractively.

Mechanically, the stub nib that I got with my pen writes wet, juicy and very smooth. It is a very light pen to hold, which is perfect for me, but some other may not care for. I love that it's a piston fill pen and the ink window allows to see the ink levels. The pen is very comfortable to hold and use.

This pen is attractive for both personal use, or for displaying and would also make for a wonderful gift for anyone born in the Year Of The Snake. It is a well designed, yet also practical, mid-level priced pen that I'm excited to have in my collection. Also, my husband was born in the Year Of The Snake and he has a snake tattoo...how could I say "No"?

Brilliant company, Awesome service and a very good pen

Not only is this pen stunning in design, it also writes fabulous! The nib feels very smooth on the paper. Also I love its a piston filler, so I can enjoy longer writings sessions with this pen. Super happy with this pen!

This pen is so easy to write and holds a lot of ink on top of being a super gorgeous pen. I hope we get more colorways of the Original Plus.

I really liked the pen. Specially the nib which is very smooth with a hint of feedback and some flexibility. The piston runs smooth and the ink window is perfect. The colors of the pen are beautiful.

This is a lovely fountain pen with a smooth and juicy nib. I bought it with a stub nib, and I really like it. The piston filling system works great and I appreciate the ink window. If I were to change anything I would make it a little larger, but that's just a personal preference. It's not a small pen.

The fountain pen worked well from the start. Writing is fluid. Roller ball pen started nicely, but developed a ball/ink problem. Nahvalar replaced this pen at no charge and it works very well. Excellent lower priced pens!

This Halloween pen was a fantastic gift for a pen enthusiast. It worked smoothly right out of the gate. The Galaxy ink was perfect for it as well. Absolutely a joy to use and a wonderful addition to any collection.

EF nibs are not always extra-fine. In Nahvalur's case, at least with this specimen, the label "extra fine" is exactly that. This is not "Captain Obvious" speaking. It is a comment on the difficulty of getting a truly EF nib when the seller advertises it as such.

I am enjoying my new pen. It is a good looking pen, the swirled colors draw you in, they are iridescent and even opalescent at times. The appointments are beautiful as well. Best of all is the nib, it writes smooth and clean and sports the Nahvalur logo. Great color scheme and performance. Overall a really nice pen.
